My time on KOFY TV!

This video is for all ya’ll who weren’t able to catch me on KOFY TV Channel 20/Cable 13 in the Bay Area

I can’t believe it was just in December 2010 that I came across this contest on Craigslist the day before the deadline and rushed to put an audition tape together…

Thanks to all of you for your love and support and call to action! Without your votes, my time on KOFY TV wouldn’t have happened. Thank you SO SO MUCH for letting me live a dream for 45 days! And of course, THANK YOU TO KOFY TV for holding the contest, and providing me with one heck of an experience being on TV in a TOP 5 MARKET!

Words cannot explain the feeling I had every time I walked onto the set, sat on the KOFY couch, and stared admiringly at the multiple sets at their location. It was a surreal experience for me and my mission was to make Bay Area viewers laugh, smile, and bring some “SUNshine” into their day.

I went to the KOFY Studio once a week to shoot a week’s worth of footage. You would be surprised to know that I did NOT have a teleprompter in front of me, and I was only given ONE take per blurb. Each advertisement, shoutout, contest, or movie synopsis was quickly read before the pressure of my director counting down “3…2..(point)..” So I will say that doing AggieTV Update when I was at UC Davis definitely prepared me for this feat!

I was on TV every Monday through Friday from 1-5pm introducing shows like “The Jerry Springer Show”, “Steve Wilkos”, “The Wendy Williams Show”, and Tyler Perry segments. My last day was Feb. 18th.
